Which Hyundai SUV Should You Buy?
The 2018 Hyundai Tucson is Hyundai’s compact SUV. It has two rows of seats and can hold up to five people. The Tucson comes standard with front-wheel drive, but all-wheel drive is also available. It is available in six trim levels:
- SEL Plus
The Tucson comes with standard with a 164-horsepower 2.0L 4-cylinder engine and gets up to 23 MPG in the city and 30 MPG on the highway.
The Tucson’s compact size makes it ideal for city living. It is easy to park and maneuver in traffic. It’s roomy on the inside, with 31 cubic feet of storage behind the rear seat and 61.9 cubic feet with the rear seat folded down.
Hyundai Santa Fe Sport
The 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport is a midsize SUV with two rows that seat up to five. The Santa Fe Sport is also available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, and you can choose from three trim levels:
- Sport 2.0T
- Sport 2.0T Ultimate
The Santa Fe Sport comes standard with a 185-horsepower 2.4L 4-cylinder engine, though there is an available 240-horsepower 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine.
Compared to the Tucson, the Santa Fe Sport gives you a two-row SUV with more interior space and more power. Its fuel economy is slightly lower with up to 21 MPG city and 27 MPG highway.
The Santa Fe Sport’s interior is larger than the Tucson with 35.4 cubic feet of storage behind the rear seat and 71.5 cubic feet with the rear seat folded down. The Santa Fe Sport is perfect for taking a group of friends and all their stuff on a road trip.
Hyundai Santa Fe
The largest of Hyundai’s SUVs, the 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe features three rows that seat up to seven. Choose from front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive and three trim versions:
- SE Ultimate
- Limited Ultimate
The Sante Fe comes with a powerful 290-horsepower 3.3L V6 engine.
With eight inches more length than the Santa Fe Sport, you get a lot more interior space, with 13.5 cubic feet behind the third-row seat, 40.9 cubic feet of storage behind the second-row seat (with the third-row folded down), and 80 cubic feet with the second and third rows folded down.
The Santa Fe is the clear choice for carrying plenty of cargo and passengers, perfect for large families or someone dedicated to their hobbies.
